F.A.Q

GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THE TEMPLVM PROJECT

Q: What is the purpose of your project?
A: We wanted all cultores of the world to have their sacred ground defined, lustrated, inaugurated and dedicated according to detailed religious procedure performed as close to the ancient Tradition as possible. Correct consecration of the templum is difficult and expensive process and in many countries can not be fully performed according to legal limitations. So we decided to take this responsibility to finally help our Gods and Goddesses to have Their sacred space to start coming back to us.

Q: Where is the TEMPLVM located?
A: It is located 10 km away from city of Poltava, Ukraine.

Q: Can I visit the TEMPLVM?
A: Cultores and guests from all around the world are heartily welcome in our TEMPLVM. All you need to make your visit comfortable - contact Collegium Templi first to discuss details. Contact us on the Facebook facebook.com/templvm.org of mail us info@templvm.org

Q: Does the temple accept (self made or bought) votive offerings like little votive altars with inscriptions, little statues of Jupiter/Perun or other deities etc.?
A: Yes it does. All votives will be stored inside the Temple of Iuppiter.

Q: You are Ukrainians. Why you worship Roman Gods?
A: We believe that there are no specific “Roman”, “Greek” or “German” Gods (except local geniuses of course). Difference lies only in the names different people used to address the Immortals and in a degree to which different people managed to keep the Initial Knowledge.

Q: Rome fell in 476 CE. Don’t you think the Roman religion outdated?
A: Rome fell when Romans on their own accord refused Roman religion. When people will return to the Gods and Goddesses the greatness of Roman civilization will be obtained again.

Q: Which Gods are honored at your temple?
A: The Temple and the great Altar located in the TEMPLVM are dedicated to Iuppiter. More than 30 altars that will soon be erected in the TEMPLVM will be dedicated to the most important Gods and Goddesses honored in Roman tradition: Iuno, Minerva, Vesta, Mars, Vulcanus etc.

Q: Is your TEMPLVM organized as a business? If so, what is the structure?
A: The TEMPLVM is a religious entity first. From organizational point of view we are rather a nonprofit organization. No one gets paid here.

Q: Do you charge fees or require offerings to use your TEMPLVM? Is so, what are they?
A: To perform the rituals at the TEMPLVM one will only have to refund the expenses for the ritual in most cases. Some rituals can be performed on account of the TEMPLVM.
