COLLEGIVM ARAE CERERI

The Collegium Arae Cereri is a modern organization dedicated to the worship and veneration of Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture, grain, and fertility. Rooted in the rich traditions of Roman religion, the Collegium seeks to preserve, revive, and practice the ancient rituals that honor Ceres as the divine provider of nourishment and prosperity.

Members of the Collegium Arae Cereri view Ceres as a symbol of humanity’s connection to the earth and its cycles of growth and renewal. They aim to foster a deeper understanding of the goddess’s role in sustaining life and to inspire reverence for the natural world. Through ceremonies, educational initiatives, and community activities, the Collegium emphasizes the importance of agricultural abundance, environmental stewardship, and gratitude for the earth’s bounty.

The Collegium hosts seasonal rituals aligned with the agricultural calendar, particularly focusing on festivals such as the Cerealia, which celebrates planting, growth, and harvest. These gatherings are open to those who wish to honor Ceres and explore the enduring relevance of her teachings in contemporary life.

In addition to its religious practices, the Collegium Arae Cereri encourages the study of Roman history, mythology, and agriculture, connecting ancient traditions with modern values of sustainability and respect for the land. Through its work, the organization seeks to rekindle the ancient devotion to Ceres, offering a space for community, learning, and spiritual growth.
